1) What is the role that national technology standards play in the successful integration of technology?
The role the national technology standards play in the successful
integration of technology is to facilitate the ability of all children
to function successfully in a future that is marked by change, rapid
growth of information, new technologies, ISTE sponsors the ongoing
development of National Educational Technology Standard through the
NETS Project. The main goal is ''to enable stakeholders in PK-12
education to develop national standards for educational uses of
technology that facilitates school improvements in the United
States''.
2) How can you manage the classroom during technology integration?
You can manage the classroom during technology integration by
identifying six key elements of learning: core subjects, 21st century
content, learning and thinking skills, information and communications
skills, life skills, and 21st century assessments. Students may be
able to use information technology to learn content and skills so that
they know how to think critically, use I information, communicate,
innovate and collaborate.
3) What is the connection between learning outcomes and assessment?
Learning outcomes are the objectives teachers write out in specific
terms and communicate what the teacher wants the student to be able to
do after the lesson is completed. Assessments outline the plan for
evaluating the learning outcomes and the methods used to assess the
students' mastery of the lesson objectives.
4. Describe the characteristics of special learners.
The characteristics of special learners are children with behavior
challenges, cultural differences, and economic differences.
